Private and Adult Piano Lessons
Private Piano Lessons are ideal for the older beginner. Children 10 yrs old and older, and adults. Private lessons are also for those students who have completed the Moonbeam 3 class, and for students who have started with another teacher and are transferring over (even if they are under 10 yrs old). For private lessons we meet for 45 mins, once a week (longer lessons, or more frequent lessons are available) and follow a unique plan for each student. We cover theory, technique, composing, chords, and so much more. We can prepare for Royal Conservatory of Music exams, or play recreationally. We can focus on Baroque period songs or Top 10 pop songs. I suggest doing a mixture to become a well-rounded musician. Student will need a piano or keyboard for home practice.
34 classes, 2 recitals.
Tuition $1440 (can be paid $160/month September - May). If you would like to pay in full at time of registration before Aug 31, 2018 pay only $1405. You may start mid year if space is available. Tuition will be prorated, and calculated at time of registration.
Annual non-refundable Registration fee $30
Materials are additional and are different for each student. Most students need about four books a year. You will be notified about the materials as we need them.

Adult Group Class
Just because you are an adult doesn't mean you need to miss out on the pleasure of group lessons. Learning to play the piano may seem like a daunting task, but learning together with like-minded adults makes the journey much more enjoyable. Currently there are no Adult Group Classes scheduled, but if you are interested in this, please contact us and we can put you on a wait list for once we have several interested participants, or get together a group of your friends and create your own class.
"Last year our son was introduced to music in Sunbeam I, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I was amazed at how much he had learned in one year, and how wonderful his composition piece sounded. "If that is how much a 5 year old can accomplish in a year," I thought, " I would like to do that too." This year our MYC instructor offered a class for adults, so I enrolled in Moonbeam I, and am enjoying every moment of class and practice time." - Darryl
